23-year old Bayern Munich and Germany star Lukas Podolski told German TV that he is very interested in becoming Manchester United manager once Alex Ferguson steps down.
Ferguson said the Polish born player would be "the most ideal candidate to take over" once he had retired. Many fans, writers, critics and fellow footballers are absolutely against the idea of Podolski becoming manager except one Frank Rijkaard who told Sky Sports News "He is qualified to take over such a team. Look what happened when Staunton took over Republic of Ireland with no experience? They won some games".
