The Amsterdam Tournament, which this year seen Ajax, Arsenal, Sevilla and Inter Milan compete, will next year be played at Wembley Stadium.
It will be called "Amsterdam Tournament on Tour" for marketing purposes and the English and Dutch FA's are both delighted. FA Chief executives Brian Barwick said "The tournament has featured an English team every year since 2000. None of the English like travel. And everybody gives out when English fans do travel abroad claiming they are hooligans. Well, they won't behave this way in their own back garden. Problem solved." he told a press conference. Royal Netherlands Football Association president Jeu Sprengers says the motives were different adding "Well, they offered us a massive sum of money. We accepted. Now we go to London to play this so-called cup."
